District Banquet and Meeting

The District Banquet  will be held at Sharon St. John United Church Hall, Stellarton,NS on October 26, 2007 at 6:00 pm

The District Meeting will be held at Keith Lodge # 23, 263 Foord St., Stellarton, NS on October 26, 2007 at 7:30 pm

District Church Service

District Church Service will be held Sunday September 30, 2007 at 11:00 am at Sharon St. John United Church Hall, Stellarton,NS 

District Association Meeting

 The District Association Meeting are held at 6:00 pm at various Lodges in the County, circulating in order as an invitation for the month is accepted. Check with the DDGM for a meeting and its location each month.

Pictou County Masonic Curling 

The Pictou County District Masonic Curling Bonspiel was held on January 28 at 9:30 am in the Westville Curling Club. Several Lodges participated in the event as follows.   

The Pictou County District Masonic Curling Cup  Bonspiel  was held at the Westville Curling Club on January 28, 2006 at 10:00 am

The Six Lodges with registered teams were from :

Albion Lodge # 5, New Glasgow                Jim Sweet, Jim Mitchell, and Lloyd MacKay

Curren Lodge # 68, Hopewell                Terry Manning, John Fraser, Jim Cameron & Peter Lawton

Western Star # 50, Westville                Tim Hayter, Wally Hayter, Rudy Knoester, & Alan Graham

Hudson Lodge # 77, Thorburn                George MacLellan, Philip Feit, Philip Roode, Hughie Fraser & Bruce Bannerman

Doric # 91, Trenton Wayne Tutty

Euclid # 92, New Glasgow Paul McCracken, Bruce Guthro, Peter Constable & Dave MacIvor

           

   

Three games were played as a combination of 14 ends

The final placing with total points were as follows:

First place, Western Star Lodge with  85 points; second, a District Deputy’s team consisting of Wayne Tutty, Terry Manning, Hughie Fraser & Peter Constable with  75 points; third to  Curren with 58 points ; forth ,a tie between Euclid and  Albion with 52 points ; and Hudson with  20 points

The teams enjoyed a Fish Chowder at noon. The District Deputy Grand Master, Lloyd MacKay presented the Pictou County Masonic Cup to Tim Hayter skip of the Western Star team from Westville.
